SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of receiving a change indicator for a system information block and user equipment implementing the method. Method comprises receiving a change indicator for a system information block (SIB) from system information which is periodically transmitted; if the change indicator differs from the stored SIB value, the SIB is considered to be damaged; if the SIB is stored and damaged and is indicated as untranslated, SIB is obtained by sending a system information request; and if said SIB is stored and damaged and is broadcast, SIB is obtained from corresponding system information window (SI window).

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of processing system information.
