SUBSTANCE: device for the simulation of AC electric locomotive contains a power source and series-connected models of electric transmission lines, traction substation transformer and contact network with the first inductive coil and first resistor, as well as the electric locomotive model, containing the second linear resistor and paralleled electric circuit, consisting of the series-connected inductance coil and third nonlinear resistor. In order to achieve a technical result, an electric circuit with series-connection of the inductance coil and linear resistor is introduced parallel to the electric circuit, consisting of series-connected inductance coils and nonlinear resistor.

EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of reproduction of the current curve of an electric locomotive in the model of traction power supply system.
