FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to pulmonology and cardiology, and can be used for examination and assessment of clinical effectiveness in the patients with interstitial lung diseases. Method involves fitting a pneumatic cup with piezoelectric transducers along a cardiovascular bed and measuring a pulse wave velocity in the patients before the therapy and daily in the therapy. Pneumo-matrices with piezoelectric transducers are placed on the upper third of the thigh and on the upper third of the shoulder, the patient is placed in the supine position for 15 minutes before the measurement, moments of action of pulse wave on them are recorded and average value of pulse wave speed is calculated by 3–5 consecutive measurements. Reduction of pulse wave velocity by 0.5 m/s and more is interpreted as positive dynamics of treatment, and at increase of pulse wave speed by 0.5 m/s and more is interpreted as negative dynamics of treatment.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables more rapid examination and more accurate assessment of the effectiveness of treating the patients with interstitial lung diseases.
