FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering and can be used to annihilate a water flow in end devices of closed pipelines and tunnel culverts. Energy damper comprises water duct 1, well 2 in form of truncated cone and has impeller 3 with blades 4. Blades are arranged in circle and turned at angle to water conduit cross-section. Inclination angle of blades 4 ensures change of water motion vector. Due to tapered shape (truncated cone 2) of well 2 circumferential speed and centrifugal force in cent is increasing, and inner surface of well 2 is cleaned from deposits different in water. Well 2 in upper part of clamping 5 formed by branch pipe is connected to additional expanding dampening chamber 6. Above output terminal 5 formed by the branch pipe, in expanding chamber 6 there is a submerged U-shaped horizontal shelf 7 in form of a ring with the possibility of controlling the water outlet from clamp 5 formed by the branch pipe and creating a free space between its side wall and annular horizontal flange 9 with shield 10. Shelf 9 with canopy 10 coincides with bottom mark of discharge chute 11, bottom of which is connected with discharge pipeline 13 with control valve 14. Water supplied to additional chamber 6 passes between the walls of the U-shaped horizontal flange 7 and the circular horizontal flange 9 with apron 10, which depend on their design, mechanism 8 and change of mechanism 8 position, which can be made in the form of a screw pair.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of operating efficiency of fixed impeller with blades at the beginning of water movement upwards in the well towards the annular horizontal flange with the shield and from the location of the annular horizontal flange with the apron and U-shaped horizontal flange between each other, forming free space for water outlet into damping chamber; simplified design and reduced bottom speeds in flow.
