SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of copying or moving hierarchically structured data from a data medium device to a consumer device. In method, each of devices has a screen on which icons of files and folders of stored information are arranged, and the camera, information on the path of the files and folders location, their attributes and the method of its copying or movement is encoded and presented with visually distinguishable or indistinguishable pixels of the information display screen in the area of the thumbnail of each file or folder, pictograms of files and folders with encoded pixels of the screen are recorded by the camera of the information-consuming device with subsequent decoding by overlaying the icon-template on the information-pictogram and decryption, with further opening at device-consumer specified port-device and port copying or moving through it file or folder, with their embedding into hierarchical structure of presentation and arrangement of information of consumer device, with assignment of new path and attributes of file or folder.

EFFECT: technical result consists in automation of copying or movement of data.
