SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for capture of dripping liquid from gas flow and can be used in various industries. Disclosed is separator, which includes vertical cylindrical housing with tangentially located inlet branch pipe, outlet and drain pipes, cylindrical partition, forming a hydraulic gate on the surface of the liquid at the bottom of the separator and equipped with a perforated cover, as well as an annular coalescing unit located between the annular cover and the perforated cover. During operation of separator, gas containing drop-by fluid, through the inlet branch pipe tangentially supplied into the annular separation space between the housing and the cylindrical partition, where in the centrifugal forces field separation of the liquid takes place, which is directed along the inner surface of the shell in the lower part of the housing, where the liquid forms a surface of separation and then merges. Gas flow with remaining fine droplet liquid from annular space is supplied for additional separation into coalescing unit. Fluid settled on the coalescing elements flows through the perforated cover into the lower part of the separator, and cleaned gas on paraxial header is output via annular cover and outlet branch pipe. Hydraulic gate formed by cylindrical baffle prevents penetration of cleaned gas into purified gas flow bypassing coalescing unit.

EFFECT: technical result is higher degree of separation while reducing metal consumption.
