FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to medical rehabilitation, traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used in rehabilitation treatment of patients after minimally invasive knee joint surgery. Rehabilitation begins on the third postoperative day and is carried out for 10 days daily, performing wave biomechanotherapy on BIOM-WAVE device. Cuffs are put on the hip and shin area excluding the knee joint; the procedure is performed for 12–14 minutes with vibration frequency 5–20 Hz, traveling wave speed 0.1–5 m/s. That is followed by a session of a gravitational therapy with a cranial-caudal vector of 1.57–1.7 Hz at rpm of 30–35 a minute and a session length of 10–12 min with gradually increasing measured muscular work of the lower extremities on the simulator. Simulator has foot supports movably connected to calibration springs providing muscular load from 10 to 100 W. Patient performs movements only in ankle joints. Immediately after the gravitational therapy is terminated, a repeated session of wave biomechanotherapy is performed.

EFFECT: method provides fast reduction of oedema and pain syndrome in the knee joint area, as well as muscular strength increase due to improvement of haemodynamics in the lower extremities.
