FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to vascular surgery, and can be used for prediction of development of thrombotic complications after reconstructive operations on main arteries of lower extremities. That is ensured by evaluating the structure of the atherosclerotic plaque by ultrasonic duplex angioscanning. VGEF-165 is determined in homogenates of the vascular wall by a Western blot technique. If there is a heterogeneous plaque with a hypoechogenic component and VGEF-165 increases by 53% in the artery wall in the area of the above plaque in comparison to the wall of arteries without atherosclerotic changes, development of thrombosis of the surgical intervention area is predicted.
EFFECT: invention enables predicting the development of thrombosis after reconstructive intervention on the main arteries of the lower extremities.
