FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used to predict the progression of atherosclerotic lesions after hybrid interventions on the arteries of the lower extremities in patients with obliterating atherosclerosis of the arteries of the lower extremities with stage IIB-III. The initial value of the Bax marker is determined in the peripheral venous blood before surgery by enzyme immunoassay. The probability of predicting the progression of atherosclerosis on the operated limb after 16 months is calculated by the formula: P=1/(1+e-Y), where P is the probability of development of progression, e is the base of the natural logarithm (Euler number), and Y is the indicator calculated as follows: Y=-27.134+1.028X, where X is the initial amount of marker Bax before surgery, ng/ml.
EFFECT: method provides an opportunity to effectively predict the progression of atherosclerotic lesions after hybrid interventions on lower limb arteries by determining the amount of Bax protein (Bcl-2-associated X protein) located in the cell mitochondrial membrane and being one of the main proapoptotic markers of the mitochondrial pathway of cell death.
