FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: what is presented is a method for early diagnosis of insulin resistance in the patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). In addition to evaluating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease as a risk factor of insulin resistance and the glucose tolerance test regardless of blood sugar values obtained on an empty stomach, in the remission phase of COPD in blood glucose and C-peptide are determined. When C-peptide level is registered above normal values against the background of normal sugar values, insulin resistance is established in patients with COPD.
EFFECT: invention provides reducing the length of diagnostic and therapeutic processes and increases the effectiveness of therapy.
