FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to occupational medicine and pulmonology, and can be used to predict exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) during the next year in persons working under exposure to industrial aerosols. In a patient with an established diagnosis of occupationally conditioned COPD (COPD PA), indicators of maximum single concentrations (MSC) of dust containing silicon dioxide (MSC SiO2), aluminum and its alloys (MSC A1), ozone (MSC O3) in the air of the patient's working area are determined. Then, the value of the diffusion capacity of the lungs for carbon monoxide (DLco), the serum concentration of the N-terminal peptide of procollagen III (K PIIINP) and the presence of bronchiectasis (Br) in the patient are determined by computed tomography. Next, solve the logistic regression equation and determine the low or high risk of COPD exacerbations.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility of predicting the exacerbation of COPD in persons working under the influence of industrial aerosols, by assessing the totality of the most important indicators.
