FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to injection devices for subretinal delivery of a therapeutic agent. Device comprises a support assembly, an injector assembly, an injector drive and a fluid source. Support assembly is sized to be placed on the forehead of the patient. Injector assembly comprises a body, a flexible cannula and a needle. Body can be detachably fixed to the support assembly. Cannula is sized to be inserted through the incision into the patient's eye. Needle is located with possibility of shifting in the cannula. Injector drive is configured to actuate the needle longitudinally relative to the flexible cannula. Fluid source assembly is in fluid communication with the needle.
EFFECT: disclosed is an injection device for subretinal delivery of a therapeutic agent.
