FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: described is a method for multiplex profiling of chromosomes in biological samples using target-specific DNA probes, involving the following steps: a) recovering, extracting or extracting DNA from biological samples; b) connecting a plurality of specific DNA probes with sequences of specific DNA targets on at least one specific chromosome in an intact interphase cell; c) attaching fluorescent labels capable of emitting distinct signals to portions of a plurality of DNA probes such that a final DNA probe generates one to four fluorescent signals, thereby creating a unique signal, characterized in that the unique signal composition is different from the targets on any given chromosome; and d) hybridizing DNA probes with chromosome targets; f) obtaining images of hybridized targets using fluorescent cubes for detecting fluorescent colors.
EFFECT: invention widens range of means for profiling chromosomes.
