FIELD: processing of materials by cutting.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used in making springs with increased cyclic durability. Production method of hollow spring includes cutting of steel tube, bending to give steel tube of specified shape and thermal treatment. Polishing of inner surface of steel tube by flow of viscoelastic abrasive medium in steel tube between first hole and second hole of steel tube, which is performed after steel tube bending and heat treatment with provision of average roughness value along whole inner surface of steel pipe of not less than 10 mcm and/or generation of compressive residual stress.
EFFECT: ensuring uniform polishing of inner surface of steel pipe.
