FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasive processing and may be used in production of grinding tools to remove roughness and cracks on, for example, steel plate surface. Proposed tool represents cylindrical grinding assembly arranged to rotate about central axis and to grind by its peripheral surface. Said grinding assembly comprises two grinding elements fitted on opposite ends of central axis and central section located between said grinding elements. Grinding element comprises set of multilayer round sheets of fabric/paper abrasive with central bore circular inner metallic appliance. Said appliance features wavy shapes with curves directed in axial direction of central axis to confine peripheral edges of said multilayer round sheets of fabric/paper abrasive. Central section comprises set of sheets of fabric/paper abrasive, other than sheets of fabric/paper abrasive that form grinding elements. Central section sheets are laid along central axis and tightly jointed together along entire central axis by two grinding elements to produce peripheral edges of said sheets at central wavy section.
EFFECT: higher wear resistance of proposed tool, higher quality of grinding.
