FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for welding axially symmetric structures from aluminium alloys which combine bulky and thin-wall elements. Structure to be welded comprises central element with end face elements and crosspieces arranged all over its length. End face elements are welded to central element. Supports are arranged in crosspieces to be fitted with temporary gaps uniformly spaced along their length. First, crosspiece supports are welded to central element in direction from periphery to structure center. Then inner end faces of crosspieces are welded together and, thereafter, extreme end faces of crosspieces are welded together.
EFFECT: higher precision, ease of welding of complicated axially symmetric welded structures.
