FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly, to production of disperse powder of ferrosilicon - filler. Method of obtaining a disperse powder of ferrosilicon filler for beneficiation of mineral raw material includes smelting in electric furnace of ferrosilicon of specified chemical composition using steel chips and / or scrap and branded ferrosilicon as charge components, melt is fed into tundish and melt is supplied into spraying chamber through calibrated orifice with dispersion of melt flow. Before the melt is discharged, sulfur-containing material in the form of ferrothers or sulfur-containing ferrosilicon is introduced into the melt in amount of 0.15-0.25 wt% of sulfur in the melt. Dispersion of the melt flow originating from the calibrated hole is performed using at least two oppositely located flat-flare nozzles, through which at an angle of inclination of 15-17 degrees with respect to melt jet axis heated is fed to 40-100°C water at pressure of 30-50 MPa.
EFFECT: high-quality globular particles with high bulk density, dispersed powder with particle size of minus 45 mcm greater than 80%, which is successfully used in enriching mineral raw materials.
