FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used for protecting electronics from ultrashort pulses. Technical result is achieved due to time-separated pulse of even mode, pulse, which occurs due to asymmetry of cross-section of line, and pulse of odd mode by value of double product of line length and minimum of running delays of even and odd line modes. Selection of line cross-section parameters additionally provides value of difference of running delays of odd and even modes of line, multiplied by line length, not less than sum of front durations, flat top and decay of the pulse supplied to the line, and equality of tripled value of the minimum of running delays of even and odd line modes to the maximum value of these delays.
EFFECT: technical result is longer duration of ultrashort pulse, protection from which can be provided.
