FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used for protection of radio electronics from ultrashort pulses. Delay line consists of one reference conductor, two parallel to it and to each other signal conductors connected to each other at one end and a dielectric medium, herewith the dielectric medium consists of a dielectric substrate and the ambient air, reference conductor is located on one side of the dielectric substrate with one of the signal conductors and the second signal conductor is located symmetrically to the first one relative to the dielectric substrate, herewith parameters of the line cross section are chosen so, that the average geometric value of wave resistances of the even and the uneven modes is equal to the path wave impedance containing the line, values of minimum of the linear delays of the even and the uneven line modes, as well as their difference module multiplied by the length of the line, are more than the sum of lengths of the front, the flat top and the decay of the pulse supplied to the line, amplitude of the signal at the line outlet is minimal.

EFFECT: technical result is decomposition of an ultra-short pulse into pulses of a smaller amplitude.
