FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used for protecting electronics from ultrashort pulses. Technical result is achieved due to selection of line parameters. A delay line consisting of one support conductor, two signal conductors parallel to it and to each other, connected to each other at one end, and a dielectric medium. At that, the cross-section parameters of the line are selected such that the geometrical average value of the wave impedances of the even and odd modes is equal to the wave resistance of the path, in which the line is included, the values of the minimum of the linear delays of the even and odd mode of the line, as well as their difference module, multiplied by twice the line length, is greater than sum of durations of front, flat top and decay of pulse supplied into line, and by selecting parameters of the line additionally providing value of difference of linear delays of odd and even modes of line, multiplied by length of line, not less than sum of durations of front, flat top and decay of pulse supplied into line.

EFFECT: increased attenuation of USP, due to its decomposition into a sequence of four pulses of lower amplitude: cross-talk, even-mode pulse, additional pulse and odd-mode pulse.
