FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of registering a service in a communication network. A service registration request is received, wherein the request indicates a network function for providing a service, a service type and a service version. Information is stored in a storage, wherein the information indicates a network function, a service type and a service version. A service discovery request is received, wherein the service detection request indicates a service type. Sending a response to a service discovery request to the sender, wherein the service discovery request indicates a network function and a service version, wherein the storage stores additional information indicating an additional network function, a service type and additional versions of the service containing a previous version of the service.
EFFECT: technical result consists in distribution of load between different versions of service and providing service to devices for which current version of service is disabled.
