FIELD: metal coatings application.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in repair and restoration of articles from titanium alloys, subjected to high loads and aggressive action of external environmental factors in many branches of machine building. Method of coating a titanium part involves preliminary treatment of the surface of the part with an abrasive powder, heating compressed air flow to temperature of 300 °C or 600 °C and feeding it into the nozzle to form a supersonic flow, into which powdered material is fed to form a coating with particle size of 30–300 mcm, consisting of ductile metal and solid component, such as corundum, acceleration of powder-like material in nozzle with supersonic air flow and its direction to surface of titanium part, and after formation, coating is subjected to heat treatment at temperature of 200 °C, 400 °C or 600 °C for 15 minutes.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at restoration of surface of titanium parts by application of coating with high adhesion strength to substrate at high temperature drops and mechanical loads.
