FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radar ranging, and can be used in the secondary radar ranging systems during the target coordinates determining in the request-response system. Method of determining coordinates of a target in a request-response system using an antenna having a predetermined aiming direction, combines parameters which reflect the position of the target, the position of the antenna carrier and the direction of aiming the antenna mounted on the movable component of the carrier. Parameters used are the distance from the carrier to the target, the height of the target, the height and angular position of the carrier in space, the angular direction of the antenna on the target relative to the carrier, as well as current command values to carrier movable component control system, on which antenna is installed. Angular direction of the antenna on the target relative to the carrier is determined as a result of real-time processing of current command values to the mobile component control system, on which the antenna is mounted.

EFFECT: technical result of invention is enabling determination of target coordinates in request-response system installed on carriers, for which obtaining the information required by the given system on the angular displacement of the local coordinate system (LSC) of the antenna relative to the associated coordinate system (ACS) of the carrier is impossible, in particular, the possibility of adapting the request-response system to the copy of the carrier, on which the system is installed, by taking into account the features of the mobile component installed on the copy of the carrier.
