FIELD: electrical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device (100) with functional element (5) with electrically adjustable optical properties, including electric power source (1) with output voltage U, at least one functional element (2) with electrically adjustable optical properties, and at least two supply conductors (3), by means of which electric power source (1) and functional element (2) are connected. Output voltage U is alternating voltage, having frequency f from 40 Hz to 210 Hz, maximum amplitude Umax from 24 V to 100 V, steepness of pulse front in the range of output voltage U between −80 % Umax and 80 % Umax from 0.05*Umax/100 mcs up to 0.1*Umax/100 mcs, and in the range of output voltage U between 80 % Umax and −80 % Umax from −0.05*Umax/100 mcs to −0.1*Umax/100 mcs.
EFFECT: invention provides higher resistance to aging of the functional element.
