SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glazing, in particular window glazing of buildings or vehicles, and concerns multilayer glass with electrically controllable optical properties, method of its production and use. Multilayer glass includes outer and inner glass sheets, which are connected to each other by means of thermoplastic intermediate layer, wherein functional element with electrically controllable optical properties is built into intermediate layer and includes active layer between first bearing film and second carrying film, wherein intermediate layer comprises first thermoplastic material, and bearing films comprise second thermoplastic material, wherein second thermoplastic material is different from first thermoplastic material, and first bearing film and second bearing film are fused to each other along at least one area of side edge of functional element, wherein first thermoplastic material comprises plasticiser.

EFFECT: invention provides an efficient method of obtaining improved multilayer glass with electrically controlled optical properties, in which at least in some places there is no diffusion between the active layer of the functional element and the intermediate layer.
