FIELD: metrology.

SUBSTANCE: device for identifying wires and cables using acoustic signals contains three vibration speakers, a sound pickup, a sound frequency generator made on the first microcontroller, a digital sound pressure level indicator made on the second microcontroller, an information-receiving device, a signal amplification device, and two LCD displays. The three outputs of the vibration speakers are connected to the outputs of signal amplification device, the first input of which is connected to the output of the sound frequency generator made on the first microcontroller, and the second – to the output of an information-receiving device. The outputs of the first LCD display are connected directly to the inputs of the first microcontroller, the outputs of the sound pickup are connected to the inputs of the digital sound pressure level indicator, made on the second microcontroller, to the inputs of which the second LCD display is connected.

EFFECT: technical result is increased functionality and accuracy of measurements.
