SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for removing sulfur and sulfur-containing compounds from oil and oil products and can be used in industrial plants to prepare and process petroleum feedstock, as well as to produce motor fuels. The invention relates to a method of adsorptive desulfurization of liquid hydrocarbon fuels, which involves filtration of hydrocarbon through an adsorbent layer in a filter column. Adsorption of sulfur-containing compounds is carried out at a temperature of +20...+30 ºC, under atmospheric pressure using a solid-phase adsorbent containing oil product ash structure, minerals of natural origin: soil, sand, clay, a mixture of metal nanoparticles, including Nickel, Platinum, Tungsten, Cobalt, Iron, Chromium, Manganese, Copper, and Tin. Oil or gasoline can be used as a hydrocarbon fuel.

EFFECT: increased quality of oil feedstock and oil products as a result of reducing the content of sulfur and its compounds.
