FIELD: petrochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for deep desulphurisation of liquid hydrocarbon fuels. Invention relates to a method involving conversion of granular anionite AN-31 in chlorine form into copper form by periodic mixing with a solution of copper nitrate (II) in the range of pH from 4 to 5 until the maximum capacity of the anionite for copper (II) ions is achieved and subsequent treatment of the liquid hydrocarbon fuel stream by passing through the obtained copper-containing sorbent with a volume rate of not more than 1,080 h−1 at maximum ratio of weight of loaded sorbent to volume of passed fuel 1:700.
EFFECT: reduction of total sulfur content in hydrocarbon fuels by at least two times from initial concentration of sulfur-containing compounds contained in hydrocarbon fuel in concentrations of not more than 1 wt.%.
