FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and is intended for prediction of development of primary closed-angle glaucoma (PACG). Value of the retro-hialoid space is determined before and after the orthoclinostatic test and the depth of the anterior eye chamber in the central area. If the anterior chamber depth is 1.7 mm and less, and the retro-haloid space is increased after the orthoclinostatic test by at least 1 mm, the development of PACG is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides higher prediction accuracy using simple techniques for early diagnosis of PACG and timely beginning of treatment, as well as possibility of screening.
