FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and aims at treating malignant closed-angle glaucoma. It involves deep sclerectomy under a superficial scleral flap, an incision in a flat portion of a ciliary body, and anterior cyclodialysis. Therethrough a gap is created between cortical shells of a vitreous body and a peripheral retina. One end of flat hydrogel drainage is inserted in the created gap towards an equator of eye, while the other end of the drainage is inserted in a zone of deep sclerectomy under the superficial scleral flap. The drainage is fixed transsclerally by a non-biodegradable suture.
EFFECT: method provides stable IOP normalisation with adequate preservation of visual functions and reliable pain relief.
