SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerosol-generating articles. Device comprises an aerosol-generating substrate rod, a downstream section at a location downstream of the substrate rod. Section contains a support element located directly downstream of the rod. Support element is in longitudinal alignment with the rod and comprises a first hollow tubular segment having an inner diameter, an aerosol cooling element located immediately downstream of the support element and located in longitudinal alignment with support element and rod. Aerosol cooling element comprises a second hollow tubular segment having an inner diameter. Ventilation zone is located at a location along the second hollow tubular segment. Inner diameter of the second hollow tubular segment is greater than the inner diameter of the first hollow tubular segment; the ratio between the inner diameter of the second hollow tubular segment and the inner diameter of the first hollow tubular segment is at least 1.25.

EFFECT: fast and efficient production, low variability of drag resistance, preservation of sensory sensations due to stable nicotine delivery.
