FIELD: mining industry.

SUBSTANCE: system for monitoring the condition of the belt conveyor includes drive, tension and deflection drums covered by the belt, upper and lower rollers and a wear registration device. A heat / video surveillance system is located on both sides of the conveyor along its entire length, with a predetermined step. The wear registration device is designed in the form of all-cast upper and lower rollers with a displaced center of mass in the diametrical section and fixed to the working and non-working surfaces of the belt with a gap clearance sufficient to interact with the source of wear. In this case, the all-cast upper roller is placed above the deflecting drum, and the lower one is located in the immediate vicinity of it. Rotation angle sensors interacting with the eccentric axis of the all-cast upper and lower rollers are used as a contactless switch.

EFFECT: said invention ensures control over the occurrence of wear locations as regards the working and non-working surfaces of the belt, increasing headwork operations safety, identifying failed rollers of the upper and lower roller supports, reducing time and labor costs during repair work.
