FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for control of vehicles, for example, railway cars. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that the installation for inspection of objects, mainly railway cars, includes a radiation source located under the object with a collimator, a detector line fixed on the truss above the object, a data processing unit and a monitor. Radiation source is placed on a carriage provided with a drive of reciprocal motion, which moves it in a direction perpendicular to movement of the object. Collimator is equipped with hinge, axis of which is spring-loaded with flat spring inserted into its groove. Flat spring returns collimator into initial position after its rotation from interaction with one of electromagnets arranged on its two sides in plane perpendicular to movement of object. Drive of back-and-forth movement can be cam, hydraulic, pneumatic and other type, at that it has variable speed of movement. Detector line is placed above the object on the L-shaped truss and has arc shape in its section.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of increasing the number of views of the transported cargo, improving the scanning quality of vehicles, reducing the "illumination" effect caused by the presence of railway rails.
