FIELD: devices for inspection of objects.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for inspection of objects, mainly railway cars. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that the installation has two versions. In the first version, the apparatus includes a radiation source with a collimator, a detector recording device, a data processing unit and a monitor placed under the object. Radiation source and the collimator are installed with an angular degree of freedom along the longitudinal axis of the object, at that, the radiation source is connected to a drive of reciprocal motion, which provides its double oscillation cycle for the period of passage of the object above the radiation source. Collimator is connected to a vibration exciter placed on the radiation source. Reciprocating drive can be electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other type, at that it has variable speed. Vibration exciter, which oscillates collimator, has variable oscillation frequency. Detector recording device used is a detector array having an arched shape in its cross-section. Second version of the installation differs from the first one in that the radiation source and the collimator are installed with an angular degree of freedom in the plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the object.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining 3D image of a cargo carried by an object, more accurately determine atomic weight and percentage content of non-metallic inclusions in scrap metal supplied for processing, increase the number of views of the transported cargo, increase the quality of scanning vehicles and reduce losses of metal processing organizations.
