SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metal processing, namely to a system for detecting and discarding from scrap metal of objects filled with substances in solid, liquid or gaseous phases. The system for detecting and discarding from scrap metal of solid/liquid/gas-filled objects includes a load-gripping mechanism comprised of a body with pivotally attached drive jaws equipped with a detection apparatus with identification by location, a signal processing unit and a display. A flexible steam-conducting pipe leads to the load-gripping mechanism, wherein said pipe is connected with a hollow toroidal element fixed on the body and equipped with nozzles mounted on the side of the drive jaws, wherein a thermal imaging camera, an electromagnet and a detection apparatus with identification by the standard size of objects are mounted in the lower part of the nozzles, wherein the camera, the magnet and the detection apparatus are connected with the signal processing unit and monitor, and a video camera is used as a detection apparatus with identification by the standard size of objects.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of detecting and discarding from scrap metal of solid/liquid/gas-filled objects.
