FIELD: shipbuilding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding and may be used for maintenance and repair of ship equipment, particularly for stock roll shell repair. The repair of the stock roll shell is performed on the basis of a mobile high-performance complex consisting of a storage, working and laboratory compartments. The surface of the stock roll shell intended for repair is prepared on an abrasive blasting machine located in the storage compartment to obtain a surface for build-up. Then the stock roll is installed into a universal rotator located in the working compartment of a mobile high-performance complex and build-up is made with a powder material suitable for surfacing on the base material. After that a corrosion-resistant coating is deposited. During repair of the stock roll shell build-up is performed on the sample similarly, and after the repair a metallographic study of the build-up on the sample is conducted in the laboratory compartment.

EFFECT: improved quality of repair of a stock roll shell by restoring its geometric dimensions with a powder material suitable for build-up on the base material and further creating a corrosion-resistant coating on the surface by way of laser surfacing.
