FIELD: mechanic.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a rotary cutting tool which has a space for chips proportional to the feed per tooth. The rotary cutting tool includes a cutting unit which has a lot of alternating cutting teeth 301-307 and grooves 311-317. The cross section of the cutting portion, perpendicular to the central axis, is divided into a lot of cutting tooth spaces #11-# 14 defining the area between adjacent cutting edges of adjacent cutting teeth around the central axis. Thus, all the spaces of the cutting tooth are made with different dimensions, or some spaces of the cutting tooth have different dimensions from other cutting tooth spaces. The form of each groove of the cutting unit is divided into a lot of sections that are located along the central axis based on the change in the distance from the bottom of each groove to the central axis, and the depth of the groove is formed in proportion to the size of the space of the cutting tooth and the length of the section of the form of the groove proportional to the depth of the groove.
EFFECT: invention allows optimizing cutting performance of a rotary cutting tool.
