FIELD: medicine; cardiology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiology, and can be used for non-invasive diagnostics of adipocyte hypertrophy of epicardial adipose tissue (hereinafter – EAT). In patients with ischemic heart disease and coronary atherosclerosis, the body mass index (hereinafter – BMI) and the Gensini index (GS) are determined, followed by the calculation of the probability P. A logistic regression model of BMI predictors and the Gensini index (GS) on the average adipocyte size of the EAT was constructed to calculate the probability P of hypertrophy of the adipocytes of the EAT: P = 1/(1+e-L), where the value of L was calculated by the formula L = 27.39-0.80 × BMI + 0.05 × GS.

EFFECT: method allows non-invasive diagnostics of adipocyte hypertrophy of epicardial adipose tissue of patients with ischemic heart disease and coronary atherosclerosis.
