METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF RISK OF LATE POST-ABLATING RELAPSE OF ATRIAL FIBRILLATION IN PATIENTS WITH ATRIAL FIBRILLATION WITHOUT STRUCTURAL AND FUNCTIONAL CHANGES IN MYOCARDIUM BASED ON RADIOMIC ANALYSIS OF EPICARDIAL ADIPOSE TISSUE Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B6/03 A61B8/02 

FIELD: medicine; radiation diagnostics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to radiation diagnostics; it can be used for prediction of the risk of late post-ablating relapse of atrial fibrillation in patients with atrial fibrillation without structural and functional changes in myocardium based on radiomic analysis of epicardial adipose tissue. A patient is subjected to ECG-synchronized X-ray computer tomography of the heart according to Ca-scoring protocol. DICOM images are exported to 3D-SlicerSoftware application with subsequent segmentation of epicardial adipose tissue and extraction of radiomic characteristics in SlicerRadiomics module. A value of Gray Level Non Uniformity radiomic characteristic of Gray Level Size Zone Matrix is assessed. If the value of Gray Level Non Uniformity is more than 1227.4, a high risk of development of late post-ablating relapse of atrial fibrillation is predicted.

EFFECT: method provides non-invasive determination of post-ablating relapse of atrial fibrillation in patients with atrial fibrillation without structural and functional changes in myocardium due to the claimed predictor.
