SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiology, and can be used for diagnosing inflammation in epicardial adipose tissue in patients with ischemic heart disease and coronary atherosclerosis. That is ensured by analyzing the patient's blood serum with the concentration of the N-terminal region of the medulla natriuretic propeptide. If its value is 19 fmole/ml and more, inflammation in epicardial adipose tissue is diagnosed.

EFFECT: invention enables diagnosing an inflammation in epicardial adipose tissue and predicting a cardiovascular risk in patients with ischemic heart disease and coronary atherosclerosis.
