FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used for transformation of uninterrupted ion flux in ionization sources under atmospheric pressure into pulse flux. Substance of invention is in forming an uninterrupted ion flux in a constant electric field between an emitting surface, a counter electrode and an output diaphragm (nozzle) each under their own regulated potential, moving in a flow of solid gas and going through a hole in the nozzle to the vacuum area, wherein a field-free space is created impulsively between the counter electrode and the nozzle, wherein the potential of the output diaphragm (nozzle) is impulsively changed to the potential of the same-sign counter electrode and impulsively returned to the initial condition.
EFFECT: providing a possibility to create a more intensive flux of charged particles coming into the analyzer.
