METHOD OF PLASTIC SURGERY OF THE PHARYNX AND ESOPHAGUS DEFECT AFTER LARYNGECTOMY FOR LARENGEAL CANCER Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B17/04

Abstract RU 2744311 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology, otorhinolaryngology and surgery. After removal of the larynx and resection of the anterior pharyngeal wall, submucosal sutures 1 and 6 are applied in the upper and lower sections of the anterior pharyngeal wall and esophagus, 5 mm away from the edge of the defect. After that, submucosal sutures of the holder are applied in the amount of 4 - 2, 3, 4, 5 in the region of the lateral pharyngeal wall, 5 mm away from the edge of the defect. Then 1 and 6 seams of the holder are pulled up towards each other in the center at an angle of 45 degrees. The remaining seams of the holder 2, 3, 4, 5 are pulled to the center of 1 and 6 of the seams of the holders. After that, at the level of the previously applied seams of the holders, a stapler is applied. Then the seams of the holder are cut off. At the end, a twisted suture is applied from the lower edge of the pharynx and esophagus upward by injecting through the edges of the muscular constrictor of the pharynx, departing from its edge by 1.0 cm, with a submucosal injection along the early applied hardware suture with a puncture through the opposite muscular constrictor of the pharynx.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to create a sealed organ, improve the healing of postoperative wounds, reduce the risk of pharyngeal and esophageal fistula formation, maintain functionality, significantly increase oncological results during the stages of special treatment and shorten the plastic surgery time.
