FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to radiology, and can be used to study the condition of the lungs with suspected COVID-19 using low-dose computed tomography. Scanning is carried out with the patient in the supine position with the arms extended to the head, while holding the breath at the depth of inhalation. Scan length from the apex of the lungs to the pulmonary sinuses is provided. A reconstruction filter is installed to study the lungs. In this case, the direction from the legs to the head is established. The voltage across the tube is set to 120 kV. Select the mode of automatic adjustment of the current strength along the entire scan length in the range of 10-500 mA, provided that the noise level, expressed in terms of the standard deviation, at 5.0 mm slices is 36. Switch on the modulation of the current strength. The image matrix is set to 512 * 512, the field of view is 350 mm, the slice thickness is 1.0 mm, the rotation speed of the tube is 0.50 sec, the collimation value is 64 * 0.5 mm, the volumetric pitch is 53.0.
EFFECT: method provides a reduction in the radiation dose while maintaining a sufficient diagnostic quality of the study.
