SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of foundry production and can be used for directional solidification of a cast metal part. Furnace (20) comprises internal cylindrical body (26) with vertical central axis (X) and support (28) for the foundry mold located in it. Inner housing (26) contains foundry area (A) located above cooling area (B), which are thermally isolated by first fixed heat shield (31) and second heat shield (32) mounted on support (28). Area (A) contains at least one first heating device, and area (B) contains second heating device (60). The heating devices provide a temperature in foundry area (A) greater than the temperature in cooling area (B). Cooling area (B) contains upper (B') and lower (B") parts located one above the other and thermally isolated from each other by means of third heat shield (33). Second heating device (60) is located in upper part (B').
EFFECT: thermomechanical stresses that cause the formation of recrystallized grains and cracks during the solidification and cooling of parts are eliminated, while creating zones of brittleness in the finished product.
