FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed are systems and methods for producing ceramic matrix composite (CMC) containing carbon nanotubes and graphene which can be used for sheathing air vessel. Method for producing ceramic matrix composite includes ensuring mix of carbon nanotubes, graphene and silicon carbonitride; heating said mix to the first temperature to trigger chemical bonding between carbon nanotubes and graphene in the range of 750-950ºС and increasing mix pressure when heating it at the second temperature while ensuring silicon carbonitride sinting in the mix at the temperature below 1000 ºС. The number of carbon nanotubes in the mix ranges from 10 to 30% by weight, graphene contains graphene nanoplatelets measuring 6 to 8 nm in thickness and 5 to 25 mcm in width, with amount of graphene in the mix ranging from 10 to 30% by weight; silicon carbonitride contains powder with particles measuring 0.1 to 1 mcm in diameter, with amount of silicon carbonitride ranging from 60 to 80% by weight. Total weight of carbon nanotubes and graphene in said mix is less than 40% by weight.

EFFECT: the technical result of invention consists in producing flexible light composite for air vessel which can also protect from a broad spectrum of threats relating to directed energy exposure.
