METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF SUPRAPATELLAR NERVE NEUROPATHY IN THE SUPRAPATELLAR NOTCH Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B17/56

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to traumatology and orthopaedics, and may be used for surgical treatment of suprapatellar nerve neuropathy in the suprapatellar notch. In the first stage, the rotator interval is resected, and the scapular clublion with the coracoacromial ligament and the united tendon are isolated. In the second stage, the arthroscope is placed in the medial port and an isolated subacromial decompression in the anterior superior region of the shoulder joint is performed through the anterolateral port. An arthroscopic port is then formed and the supraspinous muscle is withdrawn medially, the fatty tissue is removed with an arthroscopic shaver and the suprapubic artery and vein are visualised. An additional port is then formed to the transverse ligament of the scapula using an injection needle, the supraspinous muscle is withdrawn and the suprapubic nerve is removed medially. Then the transverse ligament of the scapula is dissected through the additionally formed port and the mobility of the suprapubic nerve is evaluated.

EFFECT: invention provides for increasing efficiency of treatment of suprapatellar nerve neuropathy and reducing the traumatism resulting in surgical treatment by means of combination of techniques.
