FIELD: medical science.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be applied for an arthroscopic technique of suprascapular nerve release in a combination with an anchor suture of massive ruptures of a rotator cuff. After excision of soft tissues of a subacromial sac, separation of injured tissues of a rotator cuff and release of tissues above a suprascapular muscle using posterior, anterior, anterior-lateral arthroscopic ports, a grooved probe is brought through the port of Nevoisier to divert fibres of a supraspinal muscle posteriorly. An arthroscope is brought into the same port alongside the probe, and soft tissues and scars are removed through an anterolateral port; a transverse ligament of the scapula, a suprascapular nerve and a suprascapular artery are imaged. Through the anterolateral port, a puncher with reverse branches is brought over the transverse ligament of the scapula with medially displacing the suprascapular artery. A branch of the punch-out is opened, and a transverse ligament of scapula is dissected that is followed by making an anchor suture of the tendon of the supraspinous and infraspinous muscles.
EFFECT: method provides improved treatment results due to minimal injuries of the skin, the use of standard arthroscopic ports, which is associated with a reduced risk of developing infectious complications, as well as safety with respect to damage located in suprascapular notch of neurovascular structures.
