SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the area of reconfiguring current settings of quality of service (QoS) on a mobile network between user equipment (UE) and the base station. The method includes specification of the first setting of quality of service for the first application, said setting containing minimal requirements for the service; determination of the ability of the first application to profit from settings of higher quality of service and saving of this information in case of a positive result; and upon initiating the second application on user equipment requiring the second setting of quality of service, higher than the first setting of quality of service; configuration of the first setting of quality of service for the first application for them to at least partially correspond with the setting of higher quality of service, if determined that the first application might profit from the setting of higher quality of service.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is more efficient servicing of user equipment.
