SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for removing icicles and icing on the edges of the roofs of buildings. The device for shock-free destruction of icicles and icing on the edges of the roofs of buildings contains a tubular footing with a working body fixed to its end face. It is equipped with handles for holding the device and controlling the working body. The working body is made in the form of a tire chain saw; the surface of the tire is at an angle to the axis of the tubular footing. The end face of the tubular footing on the side of the handles is equipped with an engine connected to the working body by means of an angular gearbox and a shaft located inside the tubular footing. The angular gearbox is fastened to the tubular footing by means of a quick-release connection.

EFFECT: invention provides increased efficiency of the device, as well as a higher level of safety during the destruction of icing on the edges of the roofs of buildings.
