FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and namely to rice cultivation technology. According to the method of pre-sowing treatment of rice seeds with cobalt in the conditions of the Krasnodar Region, rice seeds are preliminarily examined for the content of cobalt in them. After that they are divided into three groups with different cobalt content. The first group includes seeds containing cobalt less than 0.25 mg/kg. The second group includes seeds containing cobalt of 0.25-0.30 mg/kg and the third group includes seeds containing cobalt more than 0.30 mg/kg. If rice seeds belong to the first group or the second group, they are treated with a 0.5% aqueous solution of cobalt by a semi-dry method with a working fluid consumption of 10 liters per 1 ton. Rice seeds containing more than 0.30 mg/kg of cobalt are sown in the field without pre-sowing treatment.
EFFECT: invention increases the yield of rice and reduces the consumption of cobalt fertilizers.
